Knock House Hotel - Knock (Mayo)

Extremely comfortable and cosy .

My family and I faced numerous frustrations . First, there was no place to sit quietly when we checked in due to an event taking place. The broken toilet seat and the constant noise from the air conditioning were unacceptable. Further, we had to wait a long time for breakfast at a packed restaurant, and it felt very disorganized.

Team very helpful, polite and courteous. Rooms fabulous although TV is basic...

Be aware it is 12 miles from Knock Airport....although the courteousy bus driver was a top chap...

We booked this hotel for convenience to Our Lady's Shrine in Knock ..we could walk from hotel through grounds of Shrine at any time. Evening meal was very good.

Incorporated into room rate was breakfast ...we were very disappointed with this. Portion size were too small ... 1 sausage (very small) 1 piece of bacon( again very small) there was also an egg, tomato, a few chopped mushrooms... we did not feel this was adult size portions and more for a child.

The staff offered really good service with a warm welcome and early check-in! The hotel is impeccably clean.

The dining experience fell short with poorly prepared meals, especially the undercooked vegetables! Plus, the breakfast service left us feeling rushed.

I found it quiet and relaxing with friendly staff...rooms fresh and clean.

I think the restaurant is old-fashioned but the staff were lovely. The seating area in the reception area is untidy and not that welcoming. I did feel it was a hotel for older people. As I was on my own the room I was allocated had two single beds. I haven't slept in a single bed for many years...surely the room would have held a single and a double bed so I could have had the choice of a double bed if I had wanted to use it instead. However, I do not have any real complaints as it was a positive experience.

I love this hotel and it is my second visit here. It is quiet, moral and caters for my Roman Catholic belief as it is next to the shrine. The staff are friendly and polite and go out of their way to make you feel at home; the breakfast was excellent. Last year my brother needed a Doctor and the hotel was so professional and supportive at this time;I could not thank them enough. What is also special about here is the old fashioned Irish hospitality. I felt like I was coming home. I will certainly return here in the future. Thank you so much for a wonderful time.

It was just a fine choice for a quick layover in Knock with good value. The reception staff even helped book my train tickets, a lifesaver. Remember to ask about breakfast options on arrival.

Set within the grounds of Knock Shrine, this hotel offers a calm and tranquil country place setting. It's a perfect place for those seaking a religous retreat from the hussle and bussle of everyday life.

The room I booked was spotless and well decorated with bedrooms and tea plus new TV as expected. The location was perfect and exceptionally nice, for example, Knock Shrine was a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel. The property was set in a really comfortable area.

The location is marvellous, 1 km from Knock Folk Museum. The airport is 25 km away, easy to reach. Staff is really kind and you can park your car onsite.

I found the room to be spacious and impeccably clean. The beds were particularly comfortable, ensuring a good night's rest. Dining options were varied, with plenty of choices available, and the breakfast buffet was included in the package, offering plenty of options suitable for my dietary needs, including gluten-free selections.

The staff were superb, very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was great too!

limited TV channels, I like 24hr news.

My wife and I like its convenient location to Knock shrine and so have stayed there a number of times. The staff are friendly and helpful and we hope to stay there again in the future.
